Hello.
From hitchhiking around Stowe, Vermont at 14 just to get into the mountains, to sharing podiums with snowboarding's elite, Nils has always lived for time spent outside - and he’s done it his way.
Nils grew up as a halfpipe grom with aspirations to make the Olympic team, but a path of filming backcountry snowboarding was where he found his true passion. Fueled by the reward of pushing his limits, rock climbing has become his secondary outlet, having sent routes up to 5.13c & V10.
After a decade of filming video parts, Nils reintroduced competitions, but this time in freeriding. He went on to win the 2020 Freeride World Tour and, most recently, claimed 2nd place at The Natural Selection Tour in 2024.
In parallel to his snowboarding career and various outdoor passions, Nils graduated with a BS in Mechanical Engineering in 2019 from the University of Utah.
In 2024, his passion for snowboarding and product design landed him a role as a product developer for Salomon Snowboards, where he currently helps design the boards on which he films and competes.
